Known
I want to be known. I want someone to know my heart. Oh, to be noticed, known, and loved.
Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me… If one loves God truly [with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him].” I read these verses and my heart leaps with joy. As we give our hearts to Jesus, our hearts are opened to know Jesus, to know God, to be eternally loved. “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
We don’t have to search for God’s heart, He promises, “I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.”
You may feel unnoticed and unloved, but the truth is God notices you, knows, you, and loves you. God sees you. He lovingly knit you together in your mother’s womb, He knows the number of your days and wants to be with you all your days through eternity. God longs to live in your heart so that your heart knows Him and loves Him, as He eternally knows and loves you.
You are so known and so loved!
