Following
Social interactions can bring blessings or curses. When you “follow” someone on Facebook or Twitter, you can see their posts on the social feeds. There are those who post uplifting, Biblical, humorous, or thought-provoking material. Unfortunately, there are others who tend to use their pages to share political or divisive, negative information.
Fortunately, I have a choice who I follow. I can be friends with many people, but that doesn’t mean I should listen to everyone’s opinion or get sucked into the latest political drama. I need to be careful with what I watch and what I read. Therefore, I can quietly control what comes rolling through the news feed on the social sites by not following some people.
First and foremost, I follow God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “Follow Me.” And, that is Who I will follow. Following Jesus isn’t the popular route these days, but following Jesus is the only way to heaven, eternal life, and truly living while we are here on earth.
Who are you following?
Jesus said, “Follow Me.” (Matthew 4:19)
