I AM with you
I’ll be honest, I’ve been struggling. As my eyesight continues to worsen, my flesh is weak while my faith tries to stand strong. God tells us not to fear, and I try to be brave, I so try to be brave, but at times I am afraid. I know God will help, I know He will equip me to handle whatever comes. Perhaps my eyesight will be cured, perhaps not.
God says, “Do not fear,” but thankfully He doesn’t stop there, He reassures, “for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 43:5). God is a loving Father, when He tells us not to fear or worry, it’s because God is with us, He is for us, and He will help us. Fear will come, there are frightening things in this world, but our God is with us in the world. God’s love is unfailing, He won’t leave or forsake us, He knows we are but dust, and He understands our frailties.
When my flesh wobbles with worry, God’s comfort flows through, His strong arms catch and surround me, and He will guide through the light and through the dark. I don’t need to concentrate on the fear of what may come, or what may happen, instead I need to remember God is with me. God is the deliverer, healer, restorer, and redeemer. What have I to fear when God is with me? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Praise God, He is with me!
Friend, whatever you face, whatever may come in your future, remember God is with you. As a good Father steadies His young child who is trying to walk, God holds you tight and steadies you through the hard times.
If illness attacks you, enemies surround you, difficulties assail you, there is nothing too big, nothing impossible, nothing beyond the reach of our all-powerful, loving God. Don’t be afraid for He is with you, and He will be with you. Praise God, The Great I AM is with you!
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,’ declares the Lord. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” ~ Isaiah 41:10, Jeremiah 1:8, Isaiah 43:2-3 (NASB)
