Sidetracked
I apologize. I’ve been sidetracked by pain, by life, by the world, by opinions of others, by the news, by too many things that are not eternal. I must seek first the kingdom of God. I have to kindle afresh and fan into flame the word implanted within me. I’m off track and need soul-food!
I need to get back on track by feeding the word within me by feeding on The Word. God’s word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. His word is a rock, a fire, a world-changer. His word is sharper than any two-edged sword dividing bones and marrow, setting hearts afire.
Health may not be very healthy, life may not be very life-giving, the world may be so very worldly, but I’m running to The Word which is The Way to get back on track!
Heavenly Father, please forgive me for being off-track. Thank You that You are the Way. Thank You for Your Word. Help me to get my focus back on You and study Your word. Thank You that You are the life, the way, and the truth.
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 (MSG)
