Preach!
For decades Billy Graham has worked diligently as a minister for God’s kingdom, preaching throughout the world to call people to Jesus Christ. Most of us will never reach crowds as large or stand on a platform proclaiming the good news. However, we all have a calling to preach the good news.
We are saved into God’s family, to help point others to God’s family. Every one of us is called to be a minister and preach the good news of Jesus Christ’s saving grace and mercy.
You don’t have to be on a stage, your platform is where God has placed you on this planet. All around you are opportunities — the child in your care, the employees around you, the person behind the counter, the medical staff, your social connections, your family. Every person you meet is a person you can love with the love of Christ and tell of the love of Christ.
We are ambassadors for Christ, royal proclaiming priests, evangelists, preaching the good news, living in the here and now to help point others to eternal life.
Preach Christ to those who know Christ. Preach Christ to those who don’t know Christ until they know they need Christ.
We have good news, friends. Let’s tell others! Preach!
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)
“…you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9 (NASB)
“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.” ~ 2 Timothy 4:2 (NASB)
“But as for you, be clear-headed in every situation [stay calm and cool and steady], endure every hardship [without flinching], do the work of an evangelist, fulfill [the duties of] your ministry.” ~ 2 Timothy 4:5 (AMP)
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
Amen! Our job as Christians is to share the good news. I don’t do it as obligation, I do it because I love people as God loves them. I very appreciate all the encouraging verses that you mentioned here. Thank you dear one. Love you! ((Hugs))
Thank you, sweet Tess. We are so blessed to have the love of Christ and share the love of Christ. Keep shining for Jesus! Love you too! XOXO (((((Hugs)))))
