Walking in belief

Posted on January 24, 2018 by Lisa BuffaloeMarch 20, 2021

In the 1800’s George Müller was a thief, liar, and gambler—until God touched his heart. A changed man, Müller began preaching, and then felt the call to help poor children.

He recorded in his personal journal how he desired to show God’s faithful provision. “It is true that the faith which I am able to exercise is God’s own gift. He alone supports it, and He alone can increase it. Moment by moment, I depend on Him.”

Every page reveals God’s daily, consistent, provision for each need—clothing, food, and shelter. Not once, did Müller tell anyone the needs for himself or his ministry—except God. And God met each and every need in awesome and abundant ways. Many times grace was said over empty plates, only to have food delivered before the prayer was finished.

He believed completely in Philippians 4:19 that God would meet every need. Year after year, day after day, moment by moment, George Müller took every need to his heavenly Father.

And in George Müller’s lifetime, he established 117 schools which educated over 120,000 children and through his orphanages he cared for 18,000 orphans. Eighty-two missionaries were supported, 4,000 Bibles were distributed, and over 1 million tracts and portions of scriptures.

George Müller lived and walked his faith. Oh, that we would do the same!

Heavenly Father, help me to walk believing and trusting in You!

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:19 (NASB)

Bring them to Jesus

Posted on January 20, 2018 by Lisa BuffaloeJanuary 20, 2018

Remember to pray, remember to bring your children, your loved ones, your friends, the lost, bring them all to Jesus in prayer. Regardless of what the crowd says, what others say, bring them to Jesus. For the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Bring your children to Jesus. Synagogue officials, Jews, Gentiles, Centurions, mothers, fathers, brought their children to Jesus. Large faith or small faith by the parents, every need was met by the love and compassion of Christ Jesus (Matthew 9:18-25, Matthew 15:21-28, Matthew 8:5-13), Mark 9:17-27, Matthew 19:13-14).

Bring your family to Jesus and bring your friends to Jesus. Carry them, bring them in prayer, tear through the roof of heaven and bring them to Jesus. Large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them. …They brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. They came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men. Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. Jesus healed him (Matthew 15:30, Matthew 4:24, Mark 2:1-12).

Bring yourself to Jesus. The blind, lame, leper, hemorrhaging, demon-possessed, the curious, and the prodigal are all met by the love , forgiveness, and healing of Christ Jesus and our merciful Heavenly Father (Matthew 9:20-22, Matthew 20:30-34, Luke 19:10, Luke 15:11-32, Matthew 8:1-3, Luke 17:11-16 , Luke 8:1-3).

No need is too small, no need is too great, no sin is too dark, no wound too deep for Christ Jesus. Bring yourself, bring them, bring them all to Jesus.

Christ Jesus is …at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Jesus… continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore, He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:24-25 (NASB)

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. ~ 1 John 5:14-15, James 5:16-17 (NASB)

Streams

Posted on January 17, 2018 by Lisa BuffaloeJanuary 17, 2018

Troubled by concerns for a loved one, I left a message with a friend asking if she would join in prayer. Within minutes she called to bring encouragement and support. And, then she prayed. During her prayer, she mentioned as believers we aren’t just given a stream of living water, we are given streams of living water. Oh, my. I knew this, but her prayer caused streams to bubble up with renewed truth.

One of my favorite things is to sit by a river or a stream and spend time with God. So, when I thought of the verses in Psalm 1:1-3, I pictured myself happily planted by a stream. However, the verse says streams of water. “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” ~ Psalm 1:1-3 (NASB)

And Jesus said, “He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, from his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.” ~ John 7:38 (AMPC)

Oh, how this thrills my soul. The influx of life-giving water we are given through Jesus streams into our souls, planting us in the streams of His living water so that our souls gush out with springs and rivers of living water.

Living water grace that washes away your sins.
Living water love for your lonely, hurting heart.
Living water help for your every need.
Living water wisdom for your every decision.
Living water fearlessness cast out by God’s living love.
Living water intercession for your every prayer.
Living water mercies for every new morning.
Living water that helps you stand firm in a world shaken by the enemy.
Living water comfort for all your pain.
Living water courage for every discouragement.
Living water that protects, restores and renews.
Living water lifeline for every day of your life.
Living water, Red Sea dividing, water walking, storm-stilling power that never leaves you powerless.

Happy soul-dance! Living water streams toward you, in you, and through you. The soul-giving, life-living water flows, gushes, and forever streams with rivers from our generous, loving God.

“For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants; and they will spring up among the grass like poplars by streams of water.” ~ Isaiah 44:3-4 (NASB)

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ~ Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.” ~ Psalm 46:4 (NASB)

Emphasis added on scripture.
