Hope is born!
In the darkness, into the chaos, hope comes. The dark sky split as angels proclaimed good news of great joy for all the people; for in the city of David, a Savior, Christ the Lord was born. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believed in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.
Hope is born. Immanuel, God with us. A child born to us, a son given to us; and the government rests on His shoulders; and His name is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Joy to the world, the Lord is born. Hope is born. A new day dawns with new mercies. The Word became flesh and His glory shines in the darkness, the true light lights the world, and those who receive Him become children of God.
Hope is born. Hope is born for you, in you, forever with you, forever for you, never to leave or forsake you. Father to the fatherless, defender of widows and orphans, mender of the brokenhearted, sight restorer, hope restorer, Jesus comes.
In the storm, Jesus says “Come”. To the one sick and hurting, Jesus says “Come” to His healing and restoration. To the one needing hope, Jesus says “Come” to His soul-filling, life eternal. Come to Jesus, come to His love, come to His eternal hope.
Christ Jesus is your hope. This hope is an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused you to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. For you, for forever, hope is born.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ and His mercy and grace. Thank You that the joy of Jesus Christ comes with Your eternal hope. Thank You that through Jesus we are given forgiveness and right standing with You. Thank You that Your hope is always present, always with us, to help us through every day through all eternity.
