Guilt
I realized something this morning, something I need to remember. We don’t need to feel guilty for not doing what we are not called to do.
If God has called us to do something, then we need to do it. (If we run from His calling watch out for whales — just ask Jonah.)
We don’t need to listen to Satan’s lies that we need to do everything and feel guilty if we aren’t doing everything.
If we are following God, He’ll show us the way.
So, let’s be still, relax and rest.
Take a deep breath, and when guilt comes calling, call on God. God loves us. He’s always in control. When frustrated about everything, take everything to God.
Be still. Relax. Rest. God is in control.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” ~ Micah 6:8 (NIV)
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” ~ Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV)
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” ~ Psalm 46:10 (NASB)
