Guard your heart
“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life” (Proverbs 4:23, AMPC).
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, NASB).
Guarding the flow of your heart, reading God’s Word, brings understanding of spiritual insight and refreshing and boundless wellspring of life. “Understanding (spiritual insight) is a [refreshing and boundless] wellspring of life to those who have it…” (Proverbs 16:22, AMP).
Jesus said, “whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life” (John 4:14, AMP).
“He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’” (John 7:38, AMP).
Guard your hearts, friends. Be careful, be diligent with what you read, what you watch, what you think and ponder, and guard your heart. Let the Living Water flow from Jesus to you to bubble continuously within you.
