What if?
Before the sun had risen, I stayed in bed worrying about things that needed to be taken care of, and I also worried about the possibility of a difficult conversation I might need to have with someone. And to top it off, I started worrying about other problems and all the many, many, many problems in the world. The “what if” scenarios rolled around in my mind taken away my peace, comfort, and joy.
Then I had a gentle prompt in my spirit to stop worrying about the “what if” and remember that whatever happens God is with His children.
Confidence, peace, comfort, and joy, come from our great and awesome God. We need to remember who God is – He is all-powerful, almighty, He loves with an unfailing love, He is the God of all comfort, He is always in control, and He promises to never leave or forsake us. We need to also remember if we have Christ as our Savior, we are a child of the King of kings, and oh how He loves His children!
Whatever happens, whatever comes, God is with you through it all.
“Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice” (Isaiah 41:10, AMPC).
