At night when I can’t sleep, I’ll often praise the Lord by going through the alphabet to find names and descriptions for our wonderful God. I find joy as I recount His wonders, my mind settles, my soul rests, and peace enfolds as I drift off to sleep.

Praise the Lord God Almighty, the Ancient of days, the Alpha and Omega, who is Awesome.
Praise the Lord who is Beautiful, the Builder of everything, the Beginning and end, who is my Banner.
Praise the Lord who is Compassionate, the Creator of heaven and earth, and God of all Comfort.
Praise the Lord for He is our Defender, and Deliverer.
Praise the Lord for He is Elohim, Eternal, and Everlasting.
Praise the Lord God who is a Fortress, Faithful, Forgiving, Father.
Praise the Lord God who is Great and Good, and Gracious.
Praise the Lord who is Holy, High and lifted up, Healer, the Lord of Hosts.
Praise the Lord who is I Am.
Praise the Lord who is Jehovah, Joy, and a Just Judge.
Praise the Lord who is King, King of kings, and is Kind.
Praise the Lord, who is Loving Lord of all, Lord of lords, full of Lovingkindness, and Lord our God.
Praise the Lord who is Mighty, the Most High, Maker, Merciful, and Marvelous.
Praise the Lord who is Name above all names, Jehovah Nissi, the God over all Nations.
Praise the Lord who is Omnipotent, Omniscient, the Only true God.
Praise the Lord who is Powerful, the Potter, and my Peace.
Praise the Lord who Quiets us with His love.
Praise the Lord who is Righteous, my Rock, my Refuge, and my Redeemer.
Praise the Lord who is Strong, Savior, Sovereign Lord, Shield, Stronghold, and Salvation.

Praise the Lord who is Unfailing, Upright, with all Understanding.
