Fears and obstacles

Posted on March 12, 2020 by Lisa BuffaloeMarch 12, 2020

Do you ever look at the future and wonder how on earth you’re going to be able to get past/over/through some mountainous obstacle? The loss of jobs/homes/friends/loved ones, or personal illness/disability, or the illness/disability of a family member, or finance issues, or marriage/children issues, job issues, or virus fears, all can loom on the horizon like Mount Everest.

Our own needs combined with prayer requests from family members, friends, and Christian brothers and sisters are overwhelming at times. The issues seem too big, the enemy seems too wicked, and the strength seems too small.

Several months ago, the news reported about a crab invasion in Florida. Heavy rains had washed crabs out of the ground, and they swarmed in yards and crawled up walls. What I saw as a horror movie, my sweet hubby saw as an opportunity for a huge crab feast. I would have run for cover; he would have run for a large cooking pot.

What we worry about, what we see as obstacles, God uses as opportunities. Praise God that every difficulty, every obstacle, is an opportunity to show the power through Christ to get through every difficulty and obstacle.

God is the first and last, the beginning and end, the Creator, who always was, is and will be. He is with you now and will be with you forever. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Whatever may come in the future, God is already in the future. Regardless of how nasty the enemy, God is more powerful. No matter how big an obstacle may be, God is BIGGER. And, since God created the universe — Everything. In. the. Universe –there is nothing in the universe bigger than God.

When you look at hurdles down the road – the enemy that surrounds you, the obstacles that rise above you — remember you have God’s unlimited strength and power. You are never limited by human limitations. Nothing is contingent on your strength; you’ve been given GOD’s strength and power. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and nothing is impossible for God!

“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” ~ Romans 8:28 (AMP)

Therefore, “Be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might” (Ephesians 6:10, AMP).

Remember, “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.” (Philippians 4:13, AMP)

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).” (Ephesians 3:20-21, AMPC)

Beautiful boundaries

Posted on January 24, 2020 by Lisa BuffaloeJanuary 23, 2020
Have you ever wondered why you born where you were or lived in the places you did? Paul said in Acts 17:26-27 that God “made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him.”

God determined allotted periods and the boundaries of your dwelling place, so you would seek God. Your boundaries are about a personal relationship, God reaching to you. God has set boundaries, placing you here, now, for such a time as this. Where you are, where you have been, even the difficulties in your life, all had a purpose and plan to bring you closer to God.

God promises in Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Wherever you have been placed, wherever you live, in the bad times and in the good times, seek God with all your heart and you will find Him where you have been placed, where you live, in the bad times and in the good times .

In God’s presence, in the joy of our Savior, we find … “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.” ~ Psalm 16:6 (NIV)

God’s boundaries are a blessing. And in Christ, your boundary lines lead to an amazing, incredible, eternal, boundless inheritance!

The perfect love blessing

Posted on January 19, 2020 by Lisa BuffaloeJanuary 19, 2020

When you are “in love” everything seems different – the world fades away, problems vanish, vision clears, and life becomes brighter.

Jesus said, “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” ~ Mark 12:30-31 (ESV)

The command to love the Lord our God is an amazing blessing, a wonderful gift from our heavenly Father.

Love the Lord, and the world fades away in the light of God’s presence.

Love the Lord, and problems vanish in the might of God’s strength, comfort, and power.

Love the Lord, and our earthly vision is replaced by heavenly vision.

Love the Lord, and life is enlightened by God’s pure and holy light.

Love the Lord, and we are able to love others with God’s love.

Please don’t miss the incredible, perfect love blessing to love our perfect God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind and all your strength!
