Owed and offended — 7 Comments

  1. What a good and timely word, Lisa! It’s so tempting to get caught up in the events of the day and let our peace be troubled. But we are so rich because of what Jesus did and what he is still doing in us right now. Grace and mercy, an ever present help in staying up above it all and soaring with him!

  2. Excellent and timely article, Lisa. Your line “The more the enemy can keep people feeling owed and offended, the more people are provoked” is so true, especially in today’s world. It brings to mind the verse in Proverbs 19:11b “…it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.” When we fix our eyes on Him and what He did for us, there is no room for offense.

  3. Lisa, I said this very same thing to someone a few days ago. Truly if He never did another thing for us, He already has done it all. May gratitude for all that He has done grow in our hearts in leaps and bounds.
