Heart cry
“Let my [mournful] cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding [the ability to learn and a teachable heart] according to Your word [of promise].” ~ Psalm 119:169 (AMP)
Have you ever been desperate to know if you pleased God? I have. Even though I can recite verses on God’s love and know God loves His children, there are times I wonder if I’m doing what He has called me to do.
“Hear the voice of my supplication (specific requests, humble entreaties) as I cry to You for help, as I lift up my hands and heart toward Your innermost sanctuary (Holy of Holies).” ~ Psalm 28:2 (AMP)
The other day, fighting back tears, troubled deep in my heart, I sat in my chair. In my soul, I cried out to God asking Him if I pleased Him. Before I could even finish the heart cry, I received a sweet message from a friend sharing how much my books had meant to her. She will soon be speaking to a group and wants to share my books with them. Oh, such a gift! Thank You, Lord!
Then, at Bible study God blessed with another encouragement when I learned Bellevue Baptist Church library was going to carry all my books! Thank You, Lord!!
Then, a young woman in our Bible study group bought me lunch. Thank You, Lord!!!
Then, another woman in our group gave me her winning ticket to win a Beth Moore book and audio tape. Thank You, Lord!!!!
Then the next day, I received an email from Chinese Christian Mission who ran my article in their magazine and now want to use it for a Gospel tract. WOW! Thank YOU, LORD!!!! GOD IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Thank You, Thank You, thank YOU LORD!!
Is your heart troubled? Dear friend, God loves you and His ears are attentive to His children. Cry out to Him, listen and watch, and let His peace flow.
“I love the Lord, because He hears [and continues to hear] My voice and my supplications (my pleas, my cries, my specific needs).” ~ Psalm 116:1 (AMP)
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” ~ John 14:27 (AMP)
