Happy dancing from the rooftops
The world is going to hell in a hand-basket. I’ve heard that terminology for years, and it’s often said with a sad sigh and usually given without any hope. It’s true, Satan wants the world to go to hell in a hand-basket, and he’s out to steal, kill, and destroy. But, I have good news, Jesus saves and gives eternal life.
We have been gifted The Good News to share the Good News about the Savior. “… whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” ~ John 3:15-17 (NASB)
The offer made through God’s love, through the saving grace of Jesus, is GOOD NEWS! Accepting this gift isn’t just fire insurance against hell, Jesus gives abundant life, joy, hope, and life eternal in paradise.
Let’s make a difference. Let’s celebrate, happy dancing from the rooftops to share the Good News about our wonderful Savior. Let’s rise up to snatch the lost from the fire. Let’s live in such a way that people are drawn to the light of Christ shining within us. Let’s march toward hell for a heavenly cause and spread the Good News – Jesus saves. Jesus is the life, the truth, and the way to eternal life and heaven.
I have Good News, we have Good News, Jesus saves, Jesus saves, Jesus saves!
“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.” ~ Titus 3:4-5 (NLT)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 6:23 (AMP)
“By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.” ~ Romans 5:1-2 (MSG)
Emphasis added on scripture.
“Grace only” never is taught in scripture as self sufficient, God has much more to say about what we must do to stay pleasing to Him, He did not let His Son suffer and be tortured, and die, and then be mocked by our haphazard attempts at pleasing Him. Rev 3:14-22 well states if we are even lukewarm we will be spewed out of His mouth, meaning out of His Kingdom. His word also states that ” we are to be putting off the old man and be putting on the new man,’ Meaning every Christian is a work in progress. He also states “That faith without works is dead by itself, we must show Him our faith by our works, not just by our words. He also states that “If anyone says they are without sin is a liar and calls God a liar.” God is the only true Holy One, not mankind. To many Christians today are getting way to lax at honestly serving their Lord and others as He has asked of each of us. Obedience is what God wants from the body of Christ to show that they do truly love their Lord and Savior, Not a bunch of words that have little to no works attached to them. We must love our Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls each and every day. God bless you all. Pastor/retired career missionary /Author of Taking the Mystery out of Missions.” Jay McLaughlin
So true, Jay. God’s grace came at a mighty cost, and as Christians we must be obedient and follow Him. Loving the Lord with all our hearts, mind, soul and strength is a beautiful blessing. That’s why I write to share with the world so in need of the good news of God’s grace. Thank you for your service as a missionary to reach the lost!
