Casting
While reading in Exodus about the building of the tabernacle, I pondered a workman casting metal into a fire and creating something beautiful and new. Casting recreates.
Peter tells us to cast our care upon the Lord for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Casting is to throw upon, place upon, and give up to God. A visual for me is to take my burdens to God and throw them upon His strong shoulders (and tie it to His altar so I can’t get it back).
Casting brings peace. As we cast our worries and concerns on God, He restores what the enemy meant for evil, He makes all things beautiful in His time, He works all things for good, for nothing is impossible for God.
God cares for you, you can trust His unfailing love. Casting our cares on God is a gift. Cast your burdens on the Lord and the weight will go off your shoulders and onto God’s strong, loving, all-powerful shoulders. Fear will be cast out and your mind and soul can rest in His peace.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.” Therefore, “Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” ~ 1 John 4:18 (NKJV), Psalm 55:22 (AMPC) emphasis added
