Beyond understanding
I have a tendency to try and figure out things. I want to understand what happened in the past, what I need to do today, and what might happen in the future. I try to reason based on my own reasoning which leads to basic non-understanding because how can I with my limited understanding understand all things? Whew.
The only One who understands everything is God. He is the only One who has knowledge of the past, present, and future. I don’t have to understand or have answers to everything, I can trust God who has the understanding and answers for all things.
Happy sigh….
Heavenly Father, help me to trust You for everything and all things. I’m laying my worries, concerns, and troubled mind at Your feet. Thank You that Your peace transcends my understanding. Thank You that You guard my heart and mind. Thank You that You understand all things, and therefore I can trust You with all things.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” ~ Proverbs 3:5 (NASB)
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6-7 (AMPC)
