A Pause to Conquer Fear

Are you struggling with fear? Verses to help you conquer …

“God is in his holy Temple. He is a father to orphans, and he defends the widows. God gives the lonely a home. He leads prisoners out with joy…” (Psalm 68:5-6, NCV)

“He will help the poor when they cry out and will save the needy when no one else will help. He will be kind to the weak and poor, and he will save their lives. He will save them from cruel people who try to hurt them, because their lives are precious to him.” (Psalm 72:12-14, NCV)

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The afflictions of the righteous are many, but the Lord rescues him from them all.” (Psalm 34:18-19, NASB)

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’” (Isaiah 41:10, 13, NASB)

Jesus said, “…in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33, AMPC)

“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” (John 14:27, TPT)

“…I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20, AMP)

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord … the Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love.” (Psalm 31:24, NKJV; Psalm 33:18, NCV)

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.” (Proverbs 15:3, NKJV; Proverbs 11:21, NIV)

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me. Says the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17, NKJV)

“Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.” (Matthew 10:26, NKJV)

“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, NASB)

God “…Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5-6, NKJV).

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7, AMPC).

“Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, AMPC)

“…Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. … for he will never disappoint you!” (Psalm 27:14, TPT).

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs” (Zephaniah 3:17, NLT).

Therefore, “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life—whom shall I dread? … For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, in His tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.” (Psalm 27:1, 5, AMP)

“For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39, AMP)

A pause for comfort

Posted on June 4, 2021 by Lisa BuffaloeJune 3, 2021

For those needing comfort…

“Comfort, comfort My people, says your God.” Isaiah 40:1

“I, I Myself, am He who comforts you.” Isaiah 51:12

“I will show tender love to those who are suffering and have compassion on them.” Isaiah 49:13

“I will be with you. I will not desert you nor abandon you.” Joshua 1:5

“I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree, leave you helpless nor forsake, nor let you down by relaxing My hold on you!” Hebrews 13:5, AMPC

“Even though you walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, you don’t need to fear evil, for I am with you, My rod [to protect] and My staff [to guide], they comfort and console.” Psalm 23:4, AMPC

“Remember, I am with you always.” Matthew 28:20

Thank you, Heavenly Father. “When I said, my foot is slipping, Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, held me up. In the multitude of my [anxious] thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul!” Psalm 94:18-19, AMPC

“All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us. And just as we experience the abundance of Christ’s own sufferings, even more of God’s comfort will cascade upon us through our union with Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, TPT

“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope, The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Thy Faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, ‘Therefore I have hope in Him.’” Lamentations 3:21-24, NASB

Mercies arms are open wide

Posted on May 15, 2021 by Lisa BuffaloeAugust 3, 2021

Somebody messed up, fell into temptation, and doesn’t feel like they can get back up. The devil is whispering (or shouting) in your ear you are a failure, and because of what you’ve done, you are disqualified to do anything for God. The devil is the one who got you into the mess and he is the one who is trying to keep you in that mess. Don’t believe him! The devil is a liar!

Remember the truth — God’s mercies are new every morning. Whatever you have done, whatever has been done to you, go to God for He is a grace-filled, forgiving God. Mercies arms are open wide, go to God for forgiveness, and then come on and get back up. We need you in the body of Christ, we need your giftings you have been given by the Lord.

And your failure? Tell others that God is mighty to save, He is a forgiving, loving Heavenly Father and His arms are open wide!

“I am the Lord, the God of every person on the earth. Nothing is impossible for me.” For, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” “I have swept away your sins like a thick cloud. I have made your guilt to vanish like mist disappearing into thin air. Now come back, come back to me, for I have paid the price for you.” (Jeremiah 32:27, NCV; Lamentations 3:22-23, ESV; Isaiah 44:22, The Passion Translation).
