Looking For God’s Provision
Are we missing how God works and provides because we are so busy watching for the ways we think He will work and provide?
When God provides, He has used some interesting and unusual methods.
God’s provision has come…
Through quail – Exodus 16:13.
Through manna – Exodus 16:14-36.
Through the mouth of a fish – Matthew 17:27.
Through loaves and fishes – Mark 6:41-44.
Through the enemy’s camp – 2 Kings 7.
By the ravens – 1 Kings 17:6.
Through oil that doesn’t end – 2 Kings 4:1-7.
Through spotted and speckled sheep – Genesis 30:25-43.
From water gushing from a rock – Exodus 1:1-7.
How many times has God provided and I failed to notice? How many times was I so busy watching the sky for quail or ravens that I missed the manna? How many times was I so busy fishing for that one fish that I missed the empty enemy camp behind me?
How many times have I prayed for God to work in one way, and missed the million ways He did work, and continues to work?
Heavenly Father I don’t want to miss how You provide. Open my eyes to see how You work and how You meet every need. Forgive me for staring so hard at how I think You’ll move that I miss hearing and seeing Your footprints of provision all around me.
