“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the Lord that search all around the world.)” ~ Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)
That seemingly small and insignificant thing, the work God has called you to do behind the scenes, that doesn’t seem to be of any worth, the Lord watches and rejoices to see the work begin. Nothing is too small, for a tiny seed can produce a great harvest. Your step of obedience brings joy to the heart of God who watches and searches for those who will follow His will.
For those who step out in faith, who follow God’s leading, step in the power of God. A small tribe of Israelites routed mighty armies and nations. A small boy brought a small meal to Jesus and that small meal fed thousands. A widow tithed two small coins and her story has been told for generations. Small faith leads to great growth and amazing accomplishments.
Do not despise the small beginnings. What seems trivial to the world, may be the mighty move that sets in motion amazing changes in your life and in those around you. No matter how small or insignificant it may seem, be diligent to complete the task God has called you to do, for small beginnings are the beginning of remarkable things.
