Rubbish Gazers

“The workers are getting tired, and there is so much rubble to be moved. We will never be able to build the wall by ourselves.”
(Nehemiah 4:10 NLT)

Are we so busy gazing at the rubbish we’ve forgotten God’s great power? 

God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding” (Jeremiah 10:12 NIV).

Do we think we are too weak or God doesn’t have enough power?

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6 NASB).

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20 NIV).

“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith” (2 Thessalonians 1:11 NIV).

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency” (Philippians 4:13 AMP).

Do we think our rubbish heap can’t be solved, fixed, rectified, or redeemed by God?

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV).

“Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You” (Jeremiah 32:17 NASB).

Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (Matthew 19:26 NIV).

Heavenly Father help me to take my eyes off the rubble pile of troubles, the rubbish of my past, and fix my eyes firmly on You and Your power, might, strength, and love. Because nothing is too hard for You!

So many times I was drowned in rubbish in my twenties ,but then like mana in in the desert I saw the light.I returned to life that day and I thank the Lord for his wise councill.I love the Heavenly Father for He led me back from the brink.The rubbish no longer clouds my path.I can see clearly.You have been a big help,thanks ever so kindly.

  2. Joel and I were just talking about this very thing this morning. It is hard for mr to take my eyes off of the rubbing as you call it and trust God with it. Needless to say, he is speaking to me through your words once again. Don’t you just love when that happens. Bless you Lisa…..

    • I do love how God allows us to get His message through various means. It’s so cool when you see Him confirm something. I’m humbled to be a small part.
