Dragging and stumbling across a weary wasteland. Troubles, doubts, worries, and fears, afflict and pummel. Violence and turmoil clog the arteries of the nightly news. The world seems hopeless and dark.

Jesus is the answer.
The way is lit by The Way. Truth is discovered through The Truth. Life is found in The Life.
Soul parched lives are quenched by The Living Water.
True joy, true hope, and eternal peace come through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Amen! I have a new appreciation of parched since coming to live in the desert of ARIDzona. In fact, a few yrs ago, I found a preacher who lived in Israel for a while learning from the Rabbi nearby. He said living in the Arizona desert was probably one of the only places where people would truly understand what God meant when He talked about thirst and the desert. I get it now. The dangers of the desert are brutal and final. Care must be taken. Extreme care. The same is true of God’s Word. Extreme care must be taken so we are not parched of God’s Word in our lives.
