In the darkness, into the chaos, hope comes. I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Hope is born. Immanuel, God with us. A child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Hope is born. A new day dawns with new mercies. The Word became flesh and His glory shines in the darkness. The true Light lights the world, and those who receive Him become children of God.
Hope is born. Hope is born for you, in you, forever with you, forever for you, never to leave or forsake you. Father to the fatherless, defender of widows and orphans, mender of the brokenhearted, sight restorer, hope restorer, Jesus comes.
To the one needing rest, to the one so restless, Jesus says, “Come.”
In the storm, Jesus says “Come.”
To the one sick and hurting, Jesus says “Come” to His healing and restoration.
To the one needing hope, Jesus says “Come” to His soul-filling, life eternal.
Come to Jesus, come to His love, come to His eternal hope.
Christ Jesus is our hope. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
For you, hope is born!
