Deborah Hightower represents a unique, multi-faceted combination of success. She believes we should “Align our passion with good work” and has done that with two successful careers – over 20 years in the financial arena and a lifetime of music.
She is a veteran financial consultant, singer-songwriter-pianist, national recording artist, published writer, speaker, worship leader and women’s advocate.
Deborah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, minor in Communication; Master’s Degree in Organization and Management; and expects to receive a PhD in Leadership soon. She holds several professional designations and assists individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, and trustees with financial plan development and investment planning.
On the other side, music has always been part of her life yet only in 2008 did she release her first commercial album, Her Name is Deborah. It is an album of contemporary, love-inspired music and it garnered four Top 10 hits on inspirational radio and earned award nominations for 2007 ICM New Artist of the Year and 2008 and 2009 Female Vocalist of the Year. Deborah has been consistently #1 on ReverbNation music charts.
Deborah’s repertoire crosses contemporary, inspirational, traditional hymns, praise and worship, and gospel lines – representing the eclectic mix she ministers to. She has shared her gift in a variety of settings from intimate chapels to mega-churches to conferences and corporate events to overflowing concert halls to radio and television to Carnegie Hall to the White House.
Deborah’s voice has been used in television and radio commercials and the song I Love You (and say I do) from her album is the theme song for bridal lines. The self-penned faith-based video, Jesus Savior, has been seen worldwide and ranked #1 on Australian gospel music video channels. She is also the theme song vocalist for Christian Television Network’s show The Pastor’s Heart. She ministers in song and speaks at worship services, revivals, special events and conferences.
Beyond the powerhouse vocals, Deborah’s artistry includes writing and speaking on subjects, such as the F’s of life – faith, family, friends, fellowship and finances. Her writings have been published in industry magazines. She also writes a blog, God-spun. She has been guest speaker at women’s conferences, couples’ retreats, fundraising events and corporate functions. She has acted as Mistress of Ceremony in beauty and scholarship pageants and international festivals.
