“If I throw out a boat hook from a boat and catch hold of the shore and pull, do I pull the shore to me, or do I pull myself to the shore? Prayer is not pulling God to my will, but the aligning of my will to the will of God.” E. Stanley Jones

For my safety and everyone on the road, I would never drive without corrective lenses. I wonder how often we go through life confining ourselves and God to only our limited vision. We can “see” our past and see the present, and therefore we don’t want to venture further than the comforts of knowing what we know, and seeing what we see. However, if we don’t look beyond our past and our daily circumstances will we miss God’s vision?

One of the things they mentioned is that History is HIS story. So that makes me ponder. We are all here for a purpose, and that purpose does not just encompass only ourselves. The picture is broader, bigger, and more than we can imagine. There is more at

But I offer what I have to the Lord and delight to be in His presence. However, there are times I watch as people walk to churches with hang-dog expressions, wimpy attitudes, dragging a Bible behind them instead of raising

Fortunately, it wasn’t a spider. But then I started wondering about spiritual eyesight. Do we not see and perceive spiritual things (and possible dangers) because we aren’t putting on the corrective lenses of God’s word and truth? “[For I always pray to] the God of our

He makes them wade across streams, swim through rivers, climb mountains, and walk many tiring miles with heavy backpacks.” Charles H. Spurgeon “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the (past) present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”
