The Divine Dance

I’m blessed to be part of a new writing organization… So You Want To Write. Although most of the articles are geared to writers, I did try to apply the message to all of us regardless of profession or calling. I strive to write in excellence. However, my life as an author is only a small snippet of the picture. I’m a daughter of The King. And as God’s child, I long to walk worthy

The Touch from the Master

A gentle hand on the shoulder A hug from a friend A smile from a stranger The phone call that comes at just the right moment The sunset that ends the day you didn’t think you’d survive A sunrise that promises a new day is dawning The coo from a dove  The song of a bird  A flower’s sweet fragrance  A baby’s innocent laugh  A heart open to love Heavenly Father, help keep the eyes

Flashing Diamonds

“We ourselves are ‘saved to save’–we are made to give–to let everything go if only we may have more to give. The pebble takes in the rays of light that fall on it, but the diamond flashes them out again: every little facet is means, not simply of drinking more in, but of giving more out. Waiting for an answer?

“Don’t assume that God will always work in your life the way He always has. A sunset is proof that God colors outside the lines. He has no status quo. Even the laws of nature are His to interrupt. As many times as you’ve prayed before, today may be the day when God sends the answer so swiftly—so divinely—that you’re windburned.” Beth Moore “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond

Digging for Treasure

Digging for Treasure. Bible study isn’t just about checking off we’ve read a verse or chapter. Bible study is digging and tunneling to find treasure in God’s word, it is the unearthing of true riches, not just for us, but to share with others. Bible study is finding the treasure of God’s heart.

Too Busy

I look at my e-mails, stacks of books to read, the housework, and the never-ending list of things to do, and I wonder… if God called me home at this moment, would He say… You were always busy, always working hard, but you missed the opportunities to be with Me. “My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me” (John 4:34, 6:38).
