Sunshine Award!

I’m a blessed woman! My sweet friends Robin Prater, Delia Latham, and Michelle Kidwell have blessed me abundantly with the Sunshine Award.  Thank you so much, Robin, Delia, and Michelle!  (Please visit their sites by clicking on their names) The Sunshine Award is traditionally passed on to those bloggers that inspire others and show positivity and creativity. I could list pages of blogs that inspire, encourage, and bless me.  Instead, I want to thank everyone who visits my blog,

Imperturbability

Earlier this week, while I was grieving Erin’s death, my friend Jerri Phillips sent me this wonderful article. I hope it blesses you as much as Darlene’s words blessed me. IMPERTURBABILITY by Darlene M Makin “I think Charles Allen said it first. “When faced with problems which threaten to steal your peace of mind, learn the meaning of the word ‘imperturbability.’” “I heard of two artists who were asked to illustrate peace. His mercies

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness;  his mercies begin afresh each morning”  (Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT). God’s mercies never cease for those with broken hearts. His mercies never cease for those struggling with illness. His mercies never cease for those facing financial difficulties. His mercies never cease for those who have lost employment. His mercies never cease for those with sinful pasts. His mercies never cease

I hate the pain this world

Forever Safe

In Scouting the Divine by Margaret Feinberg, the second session records a current-day shepherdess and the relationship with one of her ill sheep—summoning a vet, administering medicine, concern and compassion. The love and devotion of the shepherdess brought tears to my eyes as I pictured God’s tender care as The Great Shepherd. I picture God comforting His children through difficulties.

Living beyond the bud!

I love Spring! The flowers bloom, trees bud and blossom, and the birds sing melodies. The tree above last week only had buds. What happens if a bud doesn’t bud? Will it remain a bud, enfolded in beauty, or eventually just wither? Am I blossoming in the many aspects of life? Flourishing? Withering? I could answer yes to every question. The areas of my life where I enfold on myself, at first seem fine, but eventually

Whispers in the silence

God speaks in the silence, whispering to the soul. Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
