Swinging through the Jungle of Life

The Buffaloe household lives in the waiting mode. For almost nine years, I’ve fought Lyme disease and waited for healing. For over a year, my husband has searched for work and interviewed around the country with many promising opportunities. Still, the wait continues. My husband and I laugh that we’re in the jungle swinging from vine to vine like Tarzan and Jane (complete with screams). Each time we let go of one “vine” we aren’t sure there will be another to grab.

Praising!

God continues to provide in wonderful ways during my husband’s job hunting journey. I feel like the woman in 1 Kings 17 where the oil and flour didn’t run out until the rain came again.

Every month, God has provided. This week, we received money back on our taxes. Woo hoo!

I’m amazed over and over again at God’s goodness. We are praising Him for His abundant blessings and gentle, sweet care.

Contemplating Contemplations on Peace

I’ve been thinking about thinking, pondering about ponderings, and contemplating about contemplations. Life churns with turmoil—death, illness, joblessness, homelessness, murder, mayhem, economic woes, etc., etc., etc. With all these problems, how on earth do we keep from going stark raving mad? Isaiah 26:3-4 states that God, “…will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. (Isaiah 26:3-4 AMP). Pretty cool.
